Currently there is a lot of building work being carried out and should be completed in a few years. These refurbishments will enable the airport to deal with 50% more passengers at the busiest times of the year.
Malaga Airport Flights:
The growing popularity of the other Costa del Sol airports has done little to stifle demand for flights into Malaga. Each year Malaga Airport passenger numbers increase, superseding the previous years total. This is partly due to a large number of expatriots who have made the Costa del Sol their home and there has been a large rise in the number of holiday home owners over the years.

28 different UK airports currently arrange flights into Malaga, these include Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Cork, Coventry, Doncaster, Dublin, Durham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Leeds, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Notts, Southampton and Stansted.

There are also four different routes from Ireland to Malaga and three routes from Scotland to Malaga.

In the future there will be a huge undercover transport area where you will be able to catch the Malaga airport buses. For now we give you the bus timetable, fares and where the bus stops are.
