Most dentists in the Southern Spain run private practises. Should you wish to go to a dentist, you may have to pay a registry fee, but check-ups are generally free, and you will only need to pay should any treatment be needed. Should you not speak Spanish, don’t worry, although levels of English vary between dentists, most are quite fluent, and if there is not they will have an assistant that is. Many able dentists can be found in your local paper of choice.
In most towns on the costa del sol, its quite common to find dental practices in apartment buildings, with advertising on the outside, so keep your eyes open if looking for a local dentist.
