Cala del Canuelo Beach
Cala del Canuelo Beach is a rural beach which is surrounded by mountains. This along with a large quantity of rocks gives this beach untouched quality. The rocks turn her into an ideal beach for practice snorkelling.

Maro Beach

Burriana Beach
The largest, most commercial family orientated beach of in Nerja with sand that is easy to walk on. Nearby are plenty of restaurants, cafes and water sports facilities for the kids.
Carabeo Beach
Carabeo beach is a quiet beach with a magnificent view of the coast and sea. It possesses a few big rocks that are ideal for diving or fishing from. Fully hidden, there is a camouflaged Chiringuito in the area.
Carabeillo Chico Beach
Playa Carabeillo Chico is a small cove enclosed by large blocks of stone that can be seen all the way from Playa Burriana.
El Chorillo Beach
El Chorillo Beach is an intimate cove surrounded with big blocks of rocks that award a slightly wild aspect. Due to the size of this beach, it is recommended that you arrive early, should you wish to find a spot.
La Caletilla Beach
This beach is very well equipped with restaurants and Chiringuitos, in addition to an original seafront of stone. The natural rockiness of the area has made it a favourite of fishers.
El Salon Beach
El Salon Beach's beauty is in its surroundings. A secluded, beautiful bay with gorgeous sand and low lying cliffs stepped in vegetation. - the best kept secret by the locals.
Torrecilla Beach
Torrecilla Beach possesses a long boulevard that is cemented with rock, and is perfect for cycling, jogging and many other sports.

Central Costa del Sol

Malaga Beaches

In the city of Malaga the beaches can be divided into three different types, each one with special characteristics. The first group comprises the beaches of the eastern part of the city. The second group of beaches comprises those that extend from the Port of Malaga to the Port of El Candado. Malaga has a lovely promenade that runs alongside one of the main beaches of Malaga Playa Caleta. A clean, well-maintained and equipped beach, that is easily within walking distance of the town centre. From here you can see the seawalls of the nearby port and the seemingly endless coastline of the Costa del Sol.

El Candado Beach
El Candado Beach is a spacious, elegant beach bordered by two dikes. A family orientated beach with all the necessary amenities and a great view of Costa del Sol.
El Palo Beach
El Palo Beach is a nice relaxing U-shaped beach covered in thin soft sand. A local bar emphasises the main sport of the area by making it their speciality. This is a must for Cane fishing lovers.
Las Acacias Beach
Las Acacias Beach is a succession of familiar beaches, surrounded by dikes in the shape of a U. This beach is ideal for family outings, as there is a children's park and restaurants nearby.
Banos del Carmen Beach
Playa Banos del Carmen is ideal for people looking for solitude. It lacks the amenities found at other beaches, but it also lacks the crowdedness of other beaches.
Caleta Beach
Caleta Beach is very elegant and well equipped for the whole family. You can access this beach from several ways. It has a nice view to the Port of Malaga.
La Malagueta Beach
Playa Malagueta is unique amongst the Malaga beaches as it is artificial. It was created by bringing sand of the Sahara and it is surrounded by a small dike that avoids sea erosion.
San Andres Beach
San Andres beach is situated on the outskirts of Malaga. Located near an industrial zone, this beach tend to attract few people. Along not the prime choice for sunbathers, the extensive sandbanks make this beach ideal for kite flying.
La Misericordia Beach
La Misericordia Beach in Malaga is a rural beach on the outskirts of Malaga. Being wide beach, it is ideal to practise a variety of sand sports.

Torremolinos Beaches

Torremolinos has seven kilometres worth of beaches and all are in excellent condition. These along with the long modern promenade can be enjoyed for most of the year.

San Julian Beach
San Julian Beach is located near the Parador Nacional as well as local golf clubs.
Los Alamos Beach
Los Alamos Beach is a popular beach with plenty of amenities nearby that spreads from Torremolinos up to the mouth of the river Guadalhorce. This beach also has its very own golf course.
Playamar Beach
Playamar Beach is probably one of the most tourist friendly beaches. It tends to be widely visited, especially since in the seventies a great quantity of movies was rolled on this beach.
Bajondillo Beach
Bajondillo Beach is located in the middle of Torremolinos. This beach is usually visited by all the neighbouring communities that live in this zone. It has a wide range of facilities on offer.
La Carihuela Beach
Carihuela Beach is the ideal beach for the lovers of the serviceability. Equipped for the full needs of the family, this beach receives a very high grade of occupation during high season.

Arroyo de la Miel Beach
Playa Arroyo de la Miel tends to be frequently used by swimmers. It main attraction is its extensive promenade.
Torrevijia Beach
Torrevijia Beach, located near the Torrequebrada hotel in Benalmadena, is a gravely beach that is a popular destination during the summer.
Las Yucas Beach
Playa Las Lucas is a small stony beach that does not receive the attention of the larger beaches. The beach itself is split into two areas, a nudist area and a non-nudist area.
Las Viborillas Beach
It is usual for Las Viborillas Beach to be packed during the high season. If this is not seen as a problem, it is a beautiful beach rich in vegetation.
Arroyo Hondo Beach
Playa Arroyo Hondo is a small beach that does not tend to be visited by any great number of visitors. There are few services in the area and has to be by the N-340.
La Perla Beach
La Perla Beach is located between two artificial dikes made of rock and reached by traversing a large block of apartments that give their name to the beach. Although of equal quality, this beach receives fewer people that the neighbouring beaches.
La Morera Beach
La Morera Beach varies from the other beaches by being a destination for camping trips for friends and family. Most people that use this beach tend to be from the surrounding area.
Tajo de la Soga Beach
Tajo de Soga Beach is the first of a succession of small beaches. This along with its quieter nature, makes this beach ideal for intimacy and solitude.
Carvajal Beach
Carvajal Beach is an enormous beach equipped with all kinds of possible services. Surrounded with high buildings, it is the typical urban beach. This beach is frequented mainly be families.

Mijas Beaches

Mijas is located 31 kilometres to the west of Malaga. It contains a total of 12 kilometres of beaches with fine sand. There are also blue flags indicating that it is one of the cleanest beaches in Europe. Mijas is renowned for its sports and recreational facilities. The good climate and the quality of the sea water, make Mijas an ideal destination. It also only 15 minutes drive from Mijas pueblo, with all its old traditions and culture.

Cala Mijas Beach
As you come from Malaga to Marbella, La Cala de Mijas is the first beach of an extensive sandbank formed by three beaches. It is a widely popular beach that is visited in great number by the people of Mijas Pueblo.
Torrevieja Beach
Torrevieja Beach, also known as La Butibamba Beach, extends up to La Cala Beach. With multiple accesses this beach is a popular destination in the summer.

Fuengirola

Fuengirola boast more than seven kilometres of beautiful and well kept white sand beaches with a full range of services on hand. It has been several years now that the Fuengirola beaches have flown the blue flag indicating that they are some of the cleanest beaches in Europe.

Torreblanca Beach
Torreblanca Beach is the typical urban beach. It has a wide range of services and is known for being very safe for children.
Playa de los Olimpos
Playa de los Olimpos is the beginning of the Torreblanca beach, although it is less equipped and smaller. Located near the beach is a camping site, which causes the occupation of the beach to be very high during the summer months.
Las Gaviotas Beach
Las Gaviotas Beach is located between Fuengirola and the Torreblanca urbanizations. Las Gaviotas Beach is the continuation of the Los Boliches Beach, and has all the services of an urban beach.
Los Boliches Beach
Los Boliches Beach is located between the beach Las gaviotas and the Playa de Fuengirola Beach. The beach is a very well equipped city beach and is also one of the largest in the area.
Playa de Fuengirola Beach
Playa de Fuengirola is situated between the Boliches Beach and the one of Santa Amalia, just besides to the Port of Fuengirola. This beach has the benefit of being located near an incredible 10th century castle that is open to the public.
Santa Amalia Beach
Santa Amalia beach is very well equipped and is ideal for the whole family. It also offers a range of services, such as very nice restaurants, hotels and shops.
El Ejido Beach
El Ejido beach is located just before crossing the river Fuengirola. This beach combines with the Santa Amalia beach to become the largest sandbank of Fuengirola.
Mare Nostrum Beach
This beach can either be access by walking from Playa El Ejido or by parking in the convenient parking spaces located in a raised area where there is a mound with a sculpture of the Virgin of the Miracles.
Playa de la Campana Beach
Playa de la Campana is split into two beaches due to the presence of large rocks on the shore. These rocks a frequently visited by fishers wishing to test their luck.
El Chaparral Beach
As several beaches of the zone, the El Chaparral beach is very close to the highway, which can be distracting. Other than this, it is a popular beach with amenities in reach.
Cala del Moral Beach
Cala de Moral Beach, is located near to the highway, but is living privacy by nearby shrubbery. Jet ski and boat services and there are amenities nearby.

Calahonda/Cabopina

Calahonda is a small area located in next to Mijas. It possesses a magnificent beach and deep and transparent waters which tend to remain calm throughout the year. Due to its lack of proximity to the sea, Calahonda tends to have milder winters than the surrounding area. This is one of reason why many people like to call this area home.

Artola Beach
Artola Beach is probably best known for its large sand dune which is a protected area. This beach is frequented by fewer people than expected and is located near the beautiful port of Cabopino.

Marbella

In the centre of the Costa del Sol, Marbella has approximately 27 kilometres of coastline within the municipal boundaries. Marbella town hall has strict rules in regards to animals on the beach, and that several beaches especially closer to Marbella centre have volleyball and sea sports on offer, such as windsurfing, waterskiing and pedal boats for hire. The Marbella Beach and the Marbella Promenade is flanked by pavement cafés, restaurants and apartment buildings on one side, and the Mediterranean on the other, this promenade is one of the most attractive on the Costa del Sol.

Venus Beach
This 500-metre beach is located in the urban area of Marbella, close to the Sports Port. Hammocks and deckchairs can be hired to bask comfortably in the sun. Free games for young children are also available and there's a wide range of water sports, from windsurfing to jet skiing.
Bajadilla Beach
700 m long and 35 m wide, Bajadilla Beach is a popular tourist beach with a high occupation level. The services offered are three beach restaurants with sun beds. This beach is the continuation of the beach of Venus.
El Cable Beach
This Beach is situated in a mainly un-built area in Marbella, reaching from the Fishing Port to the Rio Real River. On the weekends it is usual to find football matches being played.
El Pinillo Beach
Found next to El Cable Beach, Playa Pinillo is situated in a semi-urban area, next to the Los Monteros Urbanization. It is 1.500m long and 30m wide, with golden sand forming natural dunes. It has a beach restaurant.
Los Monteros Beach
The Los Monteros beach is rock free with shallow waters and is located in semi-urban area, next to the Bahia de Marbella Urbanization, 2 km in length, 50 m width.
Alicate Beach
Alicante Beach is an extensive grey sand beach to be able to give interminable strolls throughout the border. Coast is on the feet of the urbanization Sea, and at her the Sequillo stream ends.
Real de Zaragoza Beach
Located next to the Real de Zaragoza Urbanization this beach is 1.800 m long and 50 m wide, made up by fine golden sand of the dune type. The beach relies on the surrounding infrastructure to attract people.
Vivora Beach
Beach is situated in a semi urban area, next to the river Vivora. It is 650 m long and 35 m wide, made up by fine golden dune type sand. It is a calm beach, and not very visited by the public even though it is possible to practice water sports here, such as windsurf, water bikes and jet skiing.
Puente Romano Beach
Puente Romano Beach is a small beach gathered in form of bay closed to the sea opened by a false peak, with an inscription. The Beach is located between the Hotel Don Carlos and the Hotel Puente Romano.
Las Cañas Beach
Las CañasBeach is situated in a semi-urban area, next to the Marbesa Urbanization. It is 1.200 m long and 10 m wide and is a narrow beach that has been slightly deteriorated by storms. The sea is classified as being in very good conditions.
Nagüeles Beach
Nagueles Beach is located next to the Puente Romano Beach, situated on the Golden Mile of Marbella, next to the Marbella Club Urbanization. The beach is made of blonde coloured sand after a regeneration process. The beach is flanked by a recently built promenade.
El Faro Beach
Situated to the West of the Leisure Port in Marbella in the very centre of Marbella, El Faro Beach is 300 m long and 35 m wide and is considered one of the most popular beaches in Marbella.

Puerto Banus

Located just west of Marbella and before reaching San Pedro de Alcantara you will find Puerto Banus. This is the place to be pampered and to admire the luxury yachts while sipping a drink at one of the many restaurants and bars. The setting is close to ideal, with its impressive mountain backdrop and ocean views.

El Ancon Beach
El Ancon Beach is next to the Rio Verde Beach and is situated next to the El Ancon Urbanization. The El Ancon Beach is a tourist beach with a low occupation level.

Estepona

The Estepona coastline with its low lying and sandy beaches, extends over more than 20 km of coast, and offers a series of beaches with differing degrees of usage and popularity.

La Rada Beach
This is the most popular beach in Estepona and is located right in the centre of town. It is located east of the Estepona Marina.
Playa del Castor/RioCastor
Located east of Estepona (E7 KM.160.5) - very quiet, secluded beach.
El Cristo Beach
El Cristo Beach is situated just outside the town of Estepona, to the west of the Marina. El Cristo beach is located in a delightful sheltered cove and is ideal for families with children.
El Padron Beach
El Padron Beach is located a few kilometres to the east of the town and just to the east of the Rio Padron, near the Kempinski Resort Hotel. The beach has big car parking and two beach bars.
